We put the Accent on Community

In the past 10 years, we have provided over $800,000.00 in financial support to our communities. We encourage our staff and board to volunteer and give back to the communities we serve as well. 


If you have a project that needs support, please fill out a Donation Request Form and submit it to marketing@accentcu.ca.      

 
 

Accent Staff Gives Back

As part of our 10 year celebration as Accent Credit Union, we have introduced a Staff Gives Back initiative. Throughout the year, different staff members will have funds available to donate to various organizations and projects in our communities. 

Watson and Wadena Care Homes

Julie & Ursula presented Watson and Wadena care homes with iPads for their residents to use for FaceTiming with loved ones.

Lanigan Food Bank

Melissa & Heidi donated $1,000.00 to the Lanigan Food Bank to assist with high demands due to COVID-19. These ladies also volunteered their time to help fill food hampers.

Quill Lake Legion

Maureen & Ellie gave the Quill Lake Legion a cheque for $1,000.00 to help with building maintanence. This donation was made in memory of Bob Govan, an outstanding Legion member and veteran.

Robert Melrose Elementary School

Shannon & Sara presented RMES with a cheque for $1,000.00 to be used for purchasing new iPads for the students.

Quill Lake Fire & Rescue

Lyle, Denise and Deanna presented Quill Lake Fire and Rescue with a cheque for $1,500.00 to purchase a baby pulse oximeter and light bars for the rescue units.

Robert Melrose Elementary School

Debbie & Kristen presented Kim Nicholls, Principal a cheque for $1,000 to purchase ipads for the school.

Quill Lake Beautification Association

Two of our employee donation program teams joined forces to make a donation to the Beautification Association.  Trisha and Dodie donated all of their funds, and Greg and Nicole donated a portion of their funds.  Together, they were able to donate $1500 towards the beautification of the Village of Quill Lake!

Quill Lake Campground

The Quill Lake Campground upgraded power to 4 of their sites in the summer of 2021.

Kelvington Food Bank

Kerri and Tanice present a cheque for $500.00 to Bernie Toth of the Kelvington Food Bank.

Kelvington Legion
